Kristen Camp, owner and founder of Campfire Pottery, has a passion for crafting and designing pottery in the Dana Warp Mill in Westbrook. Her pieces bring a modern yet traditional, neutral taste to the table. But in order to continue to grow her clientle at a more national scale she leaned on Knotical’s help for spreading her message, anchoring her story in a national media outlet which sold out her entire online store within 24 hours.
To best communicate Campfire Pottery’s brand cornerstones and products, Kristan decided to craft a pitch that was focused on the following: a) Campfire Pottery being a women-owned business and how Kristen’s products are perfect for gathering big or small, b) Campfire Pottery’s products being made in Maine, c) Promoting her top-sellers that she had a good amount of inventory on. The pitch was distributed to various national media outlets/contacts that had a key focus on small businesses, Made in America products, food and home décor products, and women-owned businesses.
The NY Times picked up the pitch and included Campfire Pottery’s Loop Serving Bowl. This product mention was included in their print and digital publications. Kristen received over $8K in web sales and continued to receive orders on her waitlist.
