Knotical discovered through this phase that the business wasn’t just about selling jewelry, they are selling memories; from where one grew up to a family’s favorite vacation spot. Once this was laid out, Knotical took on Public Relations approaches in voicing human interest stories that started as customer testimonials. These stories hit home with existing customers and brought in new customers.
The human-interest stories were picked up by various national media outlets including Mornings with Maria on FOX Business News and Gifts and Accessories and by local television channels in Maine.
The Mornings with Maria segment brought in more than $5K in sales, over 1,800 website sessions, and social engagement tripled across all channels. The total number of transactions they made from from this one day segment was more than what they received in the entire month of January.
